Cold spell

The weather has been pretty cold for the past few weeks - a taste of winter at last! We try and get out every day for some fresh air. We took mother down to the campus of the university of Surrey. We parked in the main car park and had a walk around the lake. It was a bit windy as the site is quite exposed but we were wrapped up warm. The ground was hard so we could walk over the grass and the lake was partly frozen. I took a nice shot of some seagulls standing on the ice. It's a nice place to visit for a short walk, one of my favourite places in the Guildford area, alongside the Chantry Wood.
